Intergraph SmartPlant Schema Component.NET R2 is a shared .NET runtime/library used across the SmartPlant (now Hexagon PPM) ecosystem to interpret and manage the SmartPlant engineering data model. It provides APIs and supporting services that let client applications read, validate, and extend the common schema, enabling consistent data exchange and configuration across tools such as Smart 3D, Smart P&ID, and SmartPlant Foundation. Typically installed as a prerequisite or bundled dependency, it runs quietly in the background rather than as a user-facing application.
